Studio Clay was founded by two artist colleagues with diverse design backgrounds, but a shared passion for clay. It all began as a course within a study circle in 2019 and quickly evolved into a wide range of courses.

Basic Ceramics Course: An introduction to ceramics where you learn the fundamentals such as handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing.
Sculpture Course: Unleash your creativity in our sculpture course. Shape clay into unique sculptures with hands-on techniques guided by experts.
Glazing Course: Focuses on mixing and applying glazes to provide ceramic objects with various colors and surface effects.
Handbuilding Course: Focuses on creating ceramic objects using handbuilding techniques such as coiling, pinching, and slab building.
Advanced Ceramic: An advanced course for those with previous experience, exploring complex techniques such as multi-part pottery and larger projects.
Own Project: Choose your own projects and work independently in the studio. You lead your own project, and our staff is available on-site for guidance and support.

The studio is located in the city center of Gothenburg. It's situated in the Lorensberg district. You can easily travel here by bus or tram. The nearest tram stops are Valand and Lorensberg station.
